About the China Arrival Card

The China Arrival Card is a digital traveler form that all foreign visitors must complete.

Only some specific traveler types are exempt from completing the Arrival Card (see below).

The Arrival Card has been introduced to help streamline immigration processes. It will gradually replace the paper version of this form.

China Arrival Card Exemptions

The following 7 categories are exempt from completing the Arrival Card:

Travelers using fast-track entry lanes
Group travelers (with or without a visa)
Foreign employees of exit-entry transport vehicles
Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card for China holders
Transit passengers who remain within the designated port area
Cruise passengers entering and departing on the same vessel
Non-Chinese citizens with a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao
